Alberta Career Development Conference

The Career Development Association of Alberta’s Alberta Career Development Conference (ACDC) has been touted by delegates as one of the best career development conferences they have attended and by all reports, year after year, it just keeps getting better! This two-day professional development and networking extravaganza is a “must attend” professional development event for anyone working or studying in career development or a related profession.

The sixth annual Alberta Career Development Conference (ACDC) for 2019 will focus on “Shaping the Future – Career Development for the 21st Century”. Given the growing importance of career development in the changing world of work this theme is not only timely, but appropriate…and necessary.

This year’s conference will feature:



  • Keynote presentations from Dr. Roberta Neault and Gail Kastning.
  • Two delegate wide career development focused consultation sessions.
  • 28 concurrent sessions in the areas of:
    Career counselling / coaching techniques; trends, tools, and technology; career development research and theories; workforce planning and development; personal development and wellness; leadership, supervision, and mentorship; and best practices for diverse client groups.
  • 20 exhibitor booths showcasing tools, resources, programs, and services to support you and your clients. 
  • Networking Reception; Delegate Wide Career Development Challenge – an evening of fun for all
  • The Career Development Association of Alberta Annual General Meeting and Awards of Excellence Ceremony.

Supporting Organizations are committed to promoting the Alberta Career Development Conference through regular communications with their networks. Newsletters, emails, social media posts, etc will spread the word about the Alberta Career Development Conference. Members / employees of organizations recognized by the CDAA as “Supporting Organizations” will receive a 10% discount off the CDAA non-member early-bird and the CDAA non-member regular registration rates for their efforts. CDAA members are not eligible for an additional “Supporting Organization” discount.
