Building Tomorrow Today Consultation

Current Exhibitors

Though we are almost sold out, there is still time to register as an exhibitor at BTT

Events

This year is a year for new experiences at BTT:

  • More book signings, featured on the calendar above; signers will be available at their scheduled times at the CDAA Activities Booth.
  • Living Library: diversity in the workplace
  • Afternoon passes for the Resource Fair only

Info Bar and Living Library

The Living Library is a tool to encourage diversity by exchanging ideas, person to person. We are looking for 5-7 "volumes" as volunteers for our Living Library. Volunteers should be BTT delegates or exhibitors. Possible topics could include, women and salary negotation, accessible workplaces, bridging generations. In the spirit of the Living Library, we are limited to topics about diversity in the workplace and dispelling myths about diversity.

Currently, we have two titles in the Living Library for borrowing:

  • Lesbian Out in the Workplace and Gay for a Living, June 10, 10AM to 12:30PM

To check out any books from the Living Library, come to the BTT Activities Booth during their scheduled times and bring your curiosity and queries to the Living Books.

About the Living Library:

Info Bar will use the same format as the Living Library, but people at the Info Bar are offering to share their practices in regards to diversity, rather than represent a minority person.

Info Bar Participants include:

  • Harvey Deutschendorf, Using Emotional Intelligence in the Client Relationship
  • Dr. Nancy Arthur, Career Counselling for International Transitions: Students and Workers on the Move
  • Mary Cowburn, Cultural diversity in the workplace

Resource Fair Only Passes

Each day, June 10 and June 11, there are a limited number of Resource Fair Only passes available.

  • Passes are $20, cash only
  • We begin selling passes at 1:00PM, first come first served. Passes allow entry into the fair 1PM-4PM, only
  • There are 50 passes each afternoon
  • If you wish to attend both afternoons, you must buy a pass for each day
  • Passes are not transferrable
  • Passes do not include lunch or beverages
  • Passes DO NOT INCLUDE any delegate events including conference presentations or the keynote events. If you wish to attend a keynote, you MUST ATTEND AS A DELEGATE.

Resource Fair Only passes are a pilot project for this year.
